CLUELESS IN PEORIA - THE LAND OF LINCOLN!

SUNDAY!  Yes, the post is late, we started late, the ride was long, the cat ate our homework, it's not our fault the car stuck in reverse and yes of course we'll  respect you in the morning.  Seriously, we had to get out of Milwaukee because it was messing with our heads!  We actually liked the city (and not just because Harleys are made there).  We know that things are REALLY messed up when we enjoy a decaying, dirty, crime filled city in the rust belt!  What's next, cats living with dogs?

To free ourselves from the Milwaukee Vulcan Mind Meld we just hopped on the bike and started riding.  It didn't matter to us what direction we went as long as it was away from Milwaukee.  As it turns out we choose south and that made for a long day.  When you head south from Milwaukee, unless you stop in Chicago 70 miles away, there's a whole lot of nothing!  We rode and rode and rode.  Finally, Peoria, Illinois appeared on the horizon and that's where we staked our claim.

Sunday night in Peoria or getting jabbed in the eyes with a dirty oil dipstick - decisions, decisions!  Folks, this place is like psychic velcro.  It robs you of fun, excitement and rational thought and it just sticks to a  woolly piece of velcro somewhere else!  We're staying in a Super 8 motel (500 frequent guest bonus points!), we ate dinner at some B.S. place called "Cheddars" where the service sucked and there's NO pay-per-view porn available on the TV in our room.  But we're trying to look on the bright side - when life deals you Peoria - just Pee!...

Where's that guy's hand and why is Stacy smiling?                            It's okay, he's a retired Flaminco dancer!

Isn't Illinois just beautiful?                                                               Greetings from Peoria, Illinois
