FRIDAY!  Dateline - Minneapolis , Minnesota .  IT’S F’ING COLD HERE!  We checked the calendar and it’s July, but it’s like 50 degrees and windy and cloudy and overcast and, and, and – hey, we’re from Palm Springs , remember?  We consider it “sweater weather” when it gets down to 85.  How do people live in this iceberg land?

Okay, enough complaining about the weather – it’s cold, we’re in Minnesota , we get it.  Besides, there are other things to babble about – like Stacy’s tooth!  Last night at Denny’s she bit into some tofu and the rest is history.  Damn tofu is harder than a watermelon Jolly Rancher.  Anyway, after internet searches, the Yellow Pages and ads on bus stop benches we took the advice of our motel manager (Parish Patel) and called the “ Smile Center ” (NOT KIDDING!).

After a morning wasted sitting in the waiting room for Dr. Rajjahammingtoiibinghowsoonton, they called Stacy back, told her to spit, x-rayed her teeth, gave her some drugs and sent her packing.  Turns out it’s something to do with a crown and a nerve and root and a canal and – whatever.  The drugs will hopefully hold us (Kevin’s taking them too so he doesn’t catch a toothache also) another month or so until we get back to Palm Springs .  Anyway, the weekend is here and the drug label says not to take with alcohol - so guess the first thing we’re gonna do…
