TODAY IS THE DAY AFTER THE NIGHT BEFORE!
FRIDAY & SATURDAY! It's a combined post for yesterday and today - why? - BECAUSE, that's why! Yesterday we "borrowed" our son & wife's car and drove to Kitty Hawk. Now before you all email us and ask, "why," think about your third grade history lessons. Kitty Hawk is where the Wright Brothers (not the Righteous Brothers!) invented the airplane. Imagine that! Their's actually flew - unlike the ones today that just break apart and crash in the ocean. Anyway, we went there, the museum was closed, the salt water taffy shop was closed, the strip club was closed - but the beach was open and so was the Harley dealer.
When we got back to New Bern where our son & daughter-in-law live we figured it was time to pack up and get the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour (and Budweiser's sponsorship dollars) back on the road. Our back tire was repaired, we'd eaten all their food, we'd watched pay-per-view porn on their TV until we had cardiovascular problems and we'd fed their dog chili from a can. There wasn't much more damage we could do, so we set out under sunny skies today and continued north.
So, quick geography question - what's north of North Carolina? Don't look, guess! Okay, okay, it's Virginia! That's right folks, we're in the capital city of the Confederacy, Richmond! Here they refer to Jefferson Davis as "President Davis," not as the "President of the Confederacy." It's subtle, but even us Yankees get their point. Folks, these people think the most recent war was the Civil War and they don't even call it that! They call it the "Unspeakable Act of Aggression!" Look, we're gonna try not to get into any political or states rights discussions - particularly tonight since our hotel (the Quality Inn, Baby!) is right next door to a Hooters. But if anyone asks - we're VERY sorry that General Sherman burned Atlanta!...
A classic example of Southern hospitality! None of the bikes they sell here can fly - RIP OFF!

Incredible, pitifull, unbelievable, indescribabl - ,that is what you crazies are on the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour. You are both quite entertaining, degrading and humiliating, but you know what? You're both in your own little world and we cannot help but love you both. Hope you had a fun 4th of July.
