IF IT'S A "CIVIL" WAR DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR A SUIT AND TIE?

TUESDAY!  Folks, we have been zig-zagging and weaving our way south all over the Mississippi River delta today.  We've been through towns with no names, towns with names we can't pronounce and towns that were just towns.  We've rode on highway one, we've seen a one eyed dog and we waved at a one legged woman.  Let's just say that Mississippi has it all.

We started the day by going to a place in Merigold, Mississippi called "McCarthy's Pots,"  but instead of the assortment we were expecting, all they sold was ceramic sh_t!   Next we stopped in Winterville, Mississippi to see some mounds.  Okay, get your mind out of the gutter - yeah, we're thinking about mounds like those too, but we're talking about a different kind of mound!  We're talkin' giant Indian mounds with arrowheads and pottery shards and dead indians everywhere.   Mississippi!  Who knew?

Our plan was to make it to Natchez, Mississippi, but  we found out that was a scam.  We were thinking "Natchos" so it's one of those marketing tricks where they just slightly mis-spell the name to trick you.  It's like the time we bought those Niky shoes for $10 bucks at the swap meet.  Damn things fell apart the first time we threw them in the wash at the coin-op.  Anyway, we ended the day today in Vicksburg, Mississippi where they had some sort of war or something 150 years ago.  All we know is that there's a Cracker Barrel restaurant across from our Econolodge and they don't have an enforceable restraining order against us anymore (at least not in Mississippi).  Just wait until they see what we do with those sausage sticks that are on special...

The "pots" turned out to be of the ceramic variety!                 Look at Stacy's mound...er...look at Stacy on the mound!

Kevin points out that even with mounds, size matters!                    If they won't sell us nachos then we're outta here!
