THURSDAY!  Okay, so we’re still in Shreveport, Louisiana.  Call us wimps, call us pussies, call us failures (God knows our parents and teachers did!), but when you do, you can also call us DRY!  After riding yesterday in rain that would make Noah proud - and definitely float your ark, we spent the night at a Motel 6 truck stop here in Shreveport .  Today, the storm had moved on, but essentially to where we planned to ride, so we ate breakfast at Waffle House and moved down Interstate 20 about five miles to another Motel 6.  
 

A lot people ask us why we always stay at Motel 6 and the answer is easy - we get an AARP discount!  Besides, they’re usually in quiet places like truck stops (last night), or have rooms facing major interstate highways (tonight).  Let’s face it – when we meet people in bars they’re plenty impressed when we tell them where Budweiser (sponsor of the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour) puts us up, AND they usually wanna come back to our room just to see it – at least that’s what they say.

Anyway, tomorrow the weather is supposed to be clear (yeah, like we believe those TV a-holes!) and we’re headed 300 miles east to Oxford, Mississippi for the Taylor’s Pub "Weekend Bash" – where we’re the f’ing Guests of Honor (that’ll change REAL quick once they meet us!).  Folks, take a shower or a bath, come meet us there on Saturday, buy plenty of beer and maybe – just maybe – you’ll get lucky!  In the meantime, we’re gonna practice drinking beer tonight at the Texas Roadhouse here in Shreveport, see if anyone wants to know what our "Handicapped Suite" looks like and maybe – just maybe…
