THE PRICE WE PAID WAS HIGH - BUT IT WAS WORTH IT!

WEDNESDAY! Okay, before we start in on today’s travels let’s go back to better time, a happier time, a time before thunder and lightening and blinding rain. Let’s go back to last night in Beaumont, Texas and Hooters! Oh yeah baby, we’re talking honest to God 911 hot wings that’ll curl your toes and south Texas Hooters girls that’ll straighten your…
Folks, it’s been a long time since we’ve been in a Hooters (3 days ago in San Antonio), but it’s like riding a bike – you never forget how to ride with no hands, but it’s allot more fun to use ‘em! Last night our personal Hooters girl was “Jamie” and we’ll just say that she taught us games we never knew existed and leave the rest to your imagination – and we hope you have a vivid imagination!
But like all good things (wars, dictatorships and natural disasters) the night had to finally end. This morning we set off due north in brilliant sun, 90% humidity and 100 degree heat. We cursed it like we do soccer moms making illegal left turns in a minivan – but oh what we’d pay to have it back. After lunch at McDonalds about 150 miles above Beaumont the clouds came, the rains came, the lightening and thunder came, and came, and came, and came! Folks, it was blinding – especially when lightening struck a tree 100 feet in front of us on the road (NOT KIDDING!) – and then it was deafening. Anyway, we finally crossed the state line (last 20 miles took an hour!)and are sitting out the storm in a Motel 6 in Shreveport, Louisiana! We guess that’s the price we had to pay today for a priceless night last night, but tomorrow?... |
Hmmmm, now why is it we like Hooters so much? Jamie was our personal server - TOP THAT!

If we known the price we'd pay we never would've left! Shreveport, Louisiana Motel 6, BABY!

You bring that Jamie along to the party in Oxford! We will have her as our personal server at Taylor's Pub ya silly bastards ya! Now what would you think of that? We hope the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour is rolling along well.we want to help you on your campaign trail - that is why we are driving from Wisconsin to Oxford, Mississippi to party with you cantankerious fools (as you say, NOT KIDDING). And why are we doing that? Because, we cannot help but love you two. Remember that and we'll see you Saturday.
