THE EYES OF TEXAS ARE UPON US (AND IT'S PISSING US OFF!)
SUNDAY! Okay, it's the sabbath and we're in Texas. While we're from Southern California (which is the plastic surgery belt), Texas is the bible belt. Of course this works to our advantage because while everybody is in church (and we mean EVERYBODY) we can get great seats at any bar - and it's our observation that as the number of churches in a city increase, so do the number of bars. It's some sort of mathematical ratio probably related to a Fibonacci sequence (HA! and you thought we only paid attention in 7th grade in heath science class when we covered the chapter on the reproductive system!).
Anyway, yesterday was a wild day. Ramon and Gloria drove us out to some suburb of San Antonio (we thought we were gonna be dumped like a litter of cats). But as it turned out it was a some sort of "business deal" for them. Folks, we've known Ramon for years, and all this time we thought he was the assistant manager of a Pic-n-Save discount grocery store. Yeah, it was little suspicious that on an assistant store manager's salary they had an Escalade, a Hummer, lived in a 6,000 square foot house and all their kids drove new BMW's - but we just thought they were good managing their money.
Little did we know that Ramon really was running undocumented workers out of Nicaragua through Mexico and getting them jobs in the City of San Antonio Traffic Engineering Department. He had some contact we had to meet (he claimed she was his "sister" but they sure didn't kiss like siblings) to pick up two new workers. Well, one thing led to another, some county sheriff showed up and started hassling Kevin because of a voluntary criminal record check form he'd filled out to become a Cub Scount leader and the next thing you know all hell breaks loose. The "workers" took off running like cocker spaniels that just learned the "neuter," the sheriff threw Kevin out of the "lookout" location and basically Ramon somehow thinks we owe him the $500 bucks he was expecting from his "sister." It's a good thing the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour is sponsored by Budweiser - we'll just put it on our expense report as "miscellaneous entertainment costs" and everybody will be happy. Speaking of "happy," we bet Ramon & Gloria are happy we're leaving tomorrow and folks, we'll post to you from somewhere on the road...

Why did Kevin want to volunteer to be a Cub Scout leader anyway? When the sheriff tosssed Kevin that's when trouble began.

They took off running and Ramon's "sister" just watched! Ramon was pissed until we gave him $500 of Budwesier's money!

The tour is only in its 8th day and the partying is already in full swing you silly bastards, ya! You both never cease to amaze us. We are being quite entertained by all of your antics, and remember this compadres, we cannot help but love you! Have a fun weekend.

Just 7 words: "WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?"

Look, I am Ramon's sister but we're a close family! Besides, I'd never give him $500 for those skinny illegals - you were ripped off if you paid 50 cents over a hundred bucks for the both of 'em!
