WE WANT EXECUTIVE STAFF - NOT FLAGSTAFF!
MONDAY! We left Rachel, Nevada and Area 51 this morning because we knew if we didn't leave today we never would. There's just something about sleeping in a mobile home, drinking beer with the entire town and watching the sky for aliens that makes us wanna call it home. We actually tried to buy a place there but when they found out we didn't have clear title to the 1986 Ford Taurus we wanted to trade for the property they politely, but firmly, said it was time for us to go.
And go we did! 461 miles today across the Great Basin, across southern Utah and across half of northern Arizona. It took about ten hours but we finally made it to Flagstaff (famous for nothing!) and got a room at the good ol' Econlodge. Most of the ride was through deserts so we were dressed appropriately when we crested the Kanab Summit in Utah at 9,910 feet IN THE F'ING SNOW! One of us was wearing just thong underwear, short-shorts and a halter top. Stacy was dressed more sensibly with boxer briefs and a t-shirt but that part of the journey brings new meaning the term "frigid" - and we don't mean Kevin's ex-girlfriend!
The last three hours today we crossed the famous Painted Desert in Arizona. Let's just say we've seen better paint jobs done by L.A. gang-bangers with a few cans of spray Krylon. But that disappointment was made up for by the driving rain the last half hour. It's always sooooo much fun to end a ten hour ride in freezing rain! Folks, all complaining aside, we're having a blast and hope you are too by following the Riding4Beer Magical Mystery Tour (sponsored by those lovable folks at Budweiser). We know that most of you are accustomed to reading each day's post in late morning or early afternoon, but with our riding schedule you'll be seeing it later - usually around 7pm-9pm. Tomorrow we have a GREAT idea of where to ride and what to see, so we'll see you then....
8 PICTURES TODAY! CAN YOU GET THROUGH THEM ALL AND STILL LEAVE A COMMENT?

Just 40 miles down this road is Area 51 & Rachel, Nevada! We were a little disappointed about having to self park!

Here's Stacy at our home away from home! Kevin made some extra cash helping repo used saucers!

Are you kidding? What a blast the restroom was! Here's our room (#51) in half of a mobile home!

"Shooting the gap" as we approach the Grand Canyon today. One of the day's three deserts we crossed.

Glad to see you finally got somewhere like an Econolodge where there's high tech stuff - like the internet. Obviously there wouldn't be anything high tech around Area 51.
Just sayin'

Why aren't there any pictures of the snow? Maybe beacuse it was a different kind of white powder?

Here we go again. The circus is on the road touring cities across America, promoting Budweiser and their beliefs! We cannot help but love these two silly bastards. Have a nice ride.

K & S,
Howdy! Hope the road continues to be good for you guys. While you guys are busy crossing deserts, I am busy crossing desserts. Whooo! I don't recommend crossing the banana foster with the orange delight, followed by the pound and a half of marshmellow fondue in dark chocolate. I think my mistake was washing it down with coffee and orange juice. Ewe ewe ewe, gotta go.

So far so good! I'm surprised the aliens didn't take you into their saucers and use you guys as "test subjects"...Or did they? Keep the fun goin! I love it!

Hey guys!
Looks like you are making good progress. From your pics, it looks like you're off the beaten path. Have you guys ever considered doing a show for the travel channel? The Riding for Beer Tour would make an excellent travel adventure show. I bet Budweiser would be your sponsor for that too!!! However, your tour may violate too many FCC rules. Good Luck!!

This was a good post, but we feel the mineral and rock loving portion of the trip was not properly discussed.
It was however, a fantastic party and great to meet you guys... The rest we don't talk about, until we meet up in Rachel, NV, again.
