TUESDAY!  Yup, we're on our way back to Palm Springs and not a moment to soon.  The New Orleans Police were getting wise to our ways, the strippers in the French Quarter quit giving us free squeezers and two bars asked us to pay down a little on our tabs.  It's clearly a sign (actually three of them!) so we slipped out to the airport under cover of darkness and are heading back to California and probably certain justice after our Superior Court hearing later this week on some trumped up morals charges.

Last night was our last here in the Big Easy until Mardis Gras (end of February) and we went to quite a few bars looking for some sports.  None of them had Monday Night Football on their TV's and two of them even said the season was over - WHO KNEW?  Look, it' not like we need sports television to pull unsuspecting tourists into our scams but it sure helps distract them.  Anyway, we were left with just doing old bar tricks like the "Backwards Glass Monkey" and playing bar games like "Sit, Spin, Deliver & Smile!"    Oh sure, they throw off a little walking around money - and they do provide a little touchy-feely action if the participants are drunk and from the midwest - but there's nothing like having a good football game in high-def on the plasma!

Folks, by the time we land in California the New Orleans D.A. will have "no knock" warrants issued for us from probably three courts, there will be several tourist couples talking divorce (hey, the wives all participated willingly!) and plenty of French Quarter bars will see their beer sales (particularly Budweiser!) drop dramatically.  While we're airborne we know that Bush will be history and Obama will be the new, new deal.  Let's just hope that he's as interested in giving out pardons when our case comes up for review...
