CAN YOU SAY "CHEFCHAOUEN" - SURE YOU CAN
THURSDAY - Okay - this will be a quick post with no pictures. We got on a bus yesterday in Casablanca expecting to arrive in some other town around 7pm. At midnight we gave up after 12 hours on the bus in a mountain town on the Algerian border called Chefchaouen. Everybody that has ridden a bus across North Africa at night raise your hand - Okay everybody else is much smarter than us with our hands up.
We got a cop - using a combination of English French and Spanish to call a friend of his and the lady came to the bus station - really just a dark dirt lot - around 1am and took us to her house. It is in the old Medina area of the town in back of the city walls. It was only about a million degrees in our room but we did finally get to sleep - and lost 5 pounds each sweating - but we are now planning a way to Tangiers tomorrow and back across the Straits of Gibralter to Spain - Hopefully all the way to Seville - but most likely only to Algeciras.
We are sending this email from the local police station - the only internet in the whole city. We lied - we're good at that - and told them it was an emergency. Folks you cannot get farther "out there" then where we are now. Hopefully we can hire a car - there are a few in this town - and make it to Tangiers since the bus won't be back for another 3 days. There probably won't be a post tomorrow because hopefully we'll be on the move - but soon will be relaxing in Spain - Allah willing...
Sorry no pics and also sorry about the type face - Under the circumstances it's the best we can do. Also this keyboard is very different and there are no commas or exclaimation points - which this story REALLY needs allot.

Beautiful weather over there in North Africa. We are glad your enjoying it you silly bastards. We hope your drinking some Bbudweiser, if not you will be drinking it when you get to Spain you rageing lunatics. Have lots of fun and remember, we cannot help but love you two.

Didn't get your usual automatic posting to my e-mail account for a few days - - so thought you were held hostage by a resistance group. Get your ass to Spain.

Chefchaouen is by design. We searched on the internet and discovered that you can buy that funny grass anywhere in the city, really cheap and that is the real reason you two are there.(we're shocked) Soooo float on home.

Wouldn't it be easier just jump on a plane and find some cool place in Mexico where you can soak in the sun and swim up to a bar or have a hot little Spanish girl bring you a Genuine BUDWEISER.........................
