WHEN YOU EAT GOAT HEAD - FRESHNESS IS CRITICAL!

WEDNESDAY!  Humpday!  YEAH, we’re all over the hump for the week and so far what a week it’s been!  We’re no longer in Casablanca and we’re now on our way to Chefchaouen (you’ve never heard of it so don’t pretend that you have!) on the north coast of Africa.  There are no trains there and the Moroccans won’t rent us a motorcycle (in spite of our international driver’s licenses) so we’re riding the bus.  We’re not kidding here folks, we are on the equivalent of Moroccan Greyhound (CTM Bus Lines) for six long hours crossing the Atlas mountains on partially paved roads.  You’ll have to check tomorrow to see if we make it, but if we don’t at least you have an extra 5 minutes everyday not having to read our posts.

Our departure from Casablanca was rather hasty and without time to really think about where we were going next (that’s why we’re on a bus to Chefchaouen and not a train to Tangier or Fez!).  The past 24 hours have not been the high point of the 2008 Riding4Beer World Tour (sponsored by the “King of Beers” – Budweiser!).  Beginning Tuesday night Kevin’s stomach started that rumbling that can only mean one thing and let’s just say that the phrase, “it must have been something I ate” is the appropriate one to use here.  That’s right, after 25,000 miles, almost three months on the road and eating God knows what from bubbling pots in the back alleys of third world countries there’s just three words we can say, “Food Poisoning!” (We know that’s only two words, but in this case it should be three!)

Look, Kevin’s been sick before on bad food, he’s been sick on bad tequila and he’s been sick from eating dirt when he was 7 years old – BUT NEVER LIKE THIS!  We won’t bother describing it in detail, but let’s just say that Steven Spielberg would be impressed with the special effects.  All day Tuesday was spent in our hotel room (and what a lovely room it is!) watching Tyra Banks and Dr. Phil reruns on the only English language station on Moroccan TV (NOT KIDDING!).  Anyway, with Kevin now 10 pounds lighter (and with a better understanding of incest thanks to Dr. Phil) we knew we just had to get out of Casablanca at the earliest possible time and the first bus was to Chefchaouen.  Hopefully the goat heads up there are fresher and that the bus has an on-board bathroom…

4 PICS AND NO VIDEO - YOU REALLY DON'T NEED TO SEE MOVING PICTURES OF TODAY!

Kevin could have just eaten at McDonald's, but...                     He chose to have dinner at this hygenic" restaurant!

Some of the results were truly SPECTACULAR!          Stacy didn't eat goat head so she spent the day at the beach!

Kevin, the solution to your problem is you have been eating stale goat heads.  They obviously were not fresh and that is the only way to eat them. Solution - eat fresh goat heads, drink plenty of refreshing Budweiser and you will feel much better.  Seriously, it is something that my mother told me when I was a little children.  You two have lots of fun and remember, we cannot help but love you two.

Good for you Stacy, That veggie diet finally came to good use. WE all know that Kevin will eat anything/anyone (word Nazi beware) sooooo no surprise there!! Kevin kinda looks cool (not as cool as Stacy at the beach!) praying to the porcelain god! While We are sure its not his first, We are equally sure it will not be his last visit to that shrine!
We would say that hanging out with low life friends at the world famous "Palm Canyon Roadhouse", drinking ice cold Budweiser, telling lies and sleeping in your own bed (I removed most of the mattress stains after the Girls moved out) would be high on your list of coming attractions!!!!!!!!!!

Kev - Sorry about the "indigestion" man.  Hey, you guys should go over to Egypt. The country is 15% Christian and it is easier to get reasonably priced beer. The Egyptian beer is pretty good, actually. You'll probably still have to go to a western hotel, but it shouldn't cost $10. Say hi to Emil for me. There are only 15 million people in Cairo, shouldn't have any problem finding him.
