FRIDAY & SATURDAY! – Sorry about the radio silence for a few days, but we’ve been on the road – well, actually on the rails and you all know what that means.  THE WEEKEND IS HERE!  Also it means that we ran out of Hungarian money and needed to leave Budapest fast.  The unit of currency there is the “forint,” and they clearly understand that size matters (and so do we, but for a different reason) because in just three days we spent over a million of them (NOT KIDDING!).  The ATM’s in Budapest disperse cash in 20,000 forint notes and we tucked more than few of those into strippers’ g-strings.  But why live in the past – the “funny money” is all gone and so are we  –  to the future and beyond!”

Well, not exactly that far, but at least to Munich and then Lyon!  That’s right folks, we hopped on a westbound train Friday in Budapest and after stops in Vienna, Linz and Saltzburg (those are in Austria – GET A GLOBE!) we crossed back into Germany once again.  Normally we don’t like to pay for the same real estate twice, so backtracking to Germany was a bit of a rule breaker, but we’re talkin’ MUNICH ON A FRIDAY NIGHT, BABY!  And if all of you only ever know one thing about Munich it should be HB!

HOFBRAHAUS, BABY!  Oh yeah, the biggest beer hall in the world.  Three magnificent floors, each the size of a football field and filled to the rafters with beer drinking and sausage eating drunks like us.  This is the Mecca of the beer drinking world (outside of St Louis of course - home of Budweiser, the sponsor of the 2008 Riding4Beer World Tour and the undisputed “King of Beers!”) and you know what they say, “when in Mecca do as the Mecconians do!”  The Hofbrahaus is open around the clock so we didn’t even have to worry about where the big hand and the little hand was (but we know where we’d like hands to be!), and with a fresh supply of Euros (real f’ing currency, baby!) we were there for the night and then off to Lyon, France on Saturday.  You won't believe what happened next...
