WEDNESDAY!  HUMP DAY!  Oh, and you think people in Budapest don’t think like that too?  That’s right, we’re in BUDAPEST, BABY!  We powered here by train from Vienna yesterday arriving in time for lunch, a few beers, an afternoon snack, a few more beers, dinner, a few more beers and then of course – more beers.  Basically, we’ve been here about 24 hours and all we’ve done is eat and drink beer – not a bad life, eh?

So here’s the lowdown.  Budapest is really two cities, Buda and Pest (WE’RE NOT MAKING THAT UP!) on opposite banks of the Danube River and we’re staying in a hostel on the Pest side.  It’s not like a Hilton, but it is just $20 bucks a night and the guy that runs the place can actually drink more beer than us – we know because we had a contest with him last night!  When we told him that Budweiser was the sponsor of the 2008 Riding4Beer World Tour he went a little crazy, called us “Capitalist Pigs,” told us that we were not fit to kiss the behinds of animals and then begged us to “hook him up,” so that he could also circle the world drinking beer on someone else's dime like us.

It's all been very surreal, but here’s the craziest part – his brother actually owns a strip club just a block from our hostel (NOT KIDDING! SERIOUSLY, WE COULDN'T MAKE THIS KIND OF SH_T UP!).  Anyway, after emptying his fridge of every beer in sight we all headed over to his brother's place for a little “peek.”  Sorry folks, we couldn’t take any pictures there, and even if we did we couldn’t post on this website, but let’s just say that life takes on an entirely new meaning after you’ve seen identical twin Romanians wearing plaid skirts from Baby Gap strip to music by the BeeGee’s – AND THEY’RE 60 YEARS OLD!  Yes, Budapest is strange and magical place, today is another day and the club opens again at 4pm…
