IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO BE WHAT WE MIGHT HAVE BEEN!

MONDAY!  Yup, it's Monday in New Orleans and not only that - IT'S A HOLIDAY!  It's Memorial Day and while we still have some of our memories left we plan on making it memorable!  Well, we don't actually have to remember everything that's happened the past few days - the New Orleans Police Department seems to be pretty good at doing that on our behalf!  After Saturday night we planned on just having a quiet Sunday and wandering around the French Quarter doing a little shopping with what's left (not much!) of our sponsorship check from Budweiser.

As hard as it is to believe, we made it pretty much all the way to the historical French Market without any issues or incidents with shop-keepers, clerks or store owners.  That all changed when we reached America's oldest public market and began strolling among the vendors.  Kevin insisted that, as he put it, "negotiating the price is EVERYTHING!"  Now realize that Kevin has spent a lifetime negotiating so he's pretty good at it.  He talked his way out of a spanking from his principal in the third grade and into a spanking from some fishnet clad hooker just last week.  When it comes to cutting a good deal, he can definitely talk the talk and walk the walk.

So where did it all go terribly wrong?  Well, he did cut a pretty good deal negotiating the purchase of a few purses but that's when it all came crumbling down.  As we walked away from the market two NOPD officers spied the purses, realized they were name-brand "knockoffs" and detained Kevin on charges of "purchasing trademark infringed items in interstate commerce!"  Look, lets just say this was a totally bogus charge from the start because we thought they were the real thing!  To us it wasn't suspicious at all that a street vendor would sell $500 dollar purses for $25 bucks - COME ON, KEVIN WAS NEGOTIATING!  Anyway, they let him off with just a warning, but he did have to do a day of community service painting shit over at the parish church and they kept both purses so now Kevin doesn't have anything that matches his new miniskirt and tights.   The sad news is that we couldn't find the vendor to get our money back so we're gonna have to throw ourselves on the mercy of the local bartenders and hope they'll serve us Budweisers on credit - MERCY...

ANOTHER BONUS DAY - PICTURES AND A VIDEO OF KEVIN NEGOTIATING!

Kevin doing "Public Service" painting the church!         This is what they feed you on Louisiana Public Service Detail!

    Kevin & Stacy,

Great negotiation skills...you must have a masters degree in trailer park divergent auction pricing theory?? I also like your headline...it gives me hope that someday I too can buy into your trailer park zip code.

Kevin-my daughter's remark after seeing the video is, "he's so stupid!" I guess she just doesn't realize the subtle genius of your ways.  Maybe as she is exposed to more of your wisdom she will come to understand how smart a man you really are. Wait- why would I expose her to more of you? What was I thinking.
    Keep smiling and have fun.
