SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY!  Yup, the seventh day, the day of rest, the day of the Lord, the day that it all catches up to you!  We know there was no post yesterday, but there's a reason (there's always a reason for everything, but ask yourself, "are they good reasons?").   It can be summed up in one word - ALLERGIES!  

Look, we moved to Palm Springs from Northern California (pray that's the part of the state that falls into the ocean when the Big One hits!) about seven years ago to get away from allergies.  It's worked most years, but this year (in the words of our spiritual leader Borat), "not so much!"  Sneezing, watery eyes, coughing - and the allergies are bad too!  The answer to all of this (and pretty much anything else in our life that sucks) is DRUGS!

So here's the deal.  When the desert wind started blowing sand and cactus pollen like a Kirby vacuum cleaner on steroids, we started hitting everything we had in our medicine cabinet.  The good news is that in addition to plenty of other drugs, we have lots of Sudafed left over from when we made crystal meth for some extra money.  Folks, here's a helpful hint if you decide to chew, breathe swallow and suck every pharmaceutical known to man - DON'T DRINK ALCOHOL and definitely DON'T OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY!  When you mix a prescription inhaler, Sudafed, Robitussin, Hall's, Claritin, Zyrtec and Seldane (note Seldane hasn't been sold in the U.S. in 10 years, but we get it in Mexico) with a case of Coor's Light, you better have a soft floor, because you're gonna hit it hard!  Now you know why there was no post yesterday, but guess what?  We don't sneeze anymore and that means they'll be no problem hanging out in smoky bars today...
