WE THINK IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO VIEW WILDLIFE WHEN THEY'RE JUST WANDERING AROUND WILD!
TUESDAY! Okay, we won't bore you with all of the reasons why Tuesday is the "bastard child" of days, but you gotta admit, if Tuesday was sitting next to you at a bar you'd kick the shit out him! Anyway, we decided that we weren't gonna let the fact that it's the worst day of the week kill our thrill, so before we even rolled outta the sofa-sleeper we made a plan. Well actually, before we rolled outta the sofa sleeper we..., then we made the plan, but that's just details.
So here's the plan - WE WENT HIKING! Look, we live in one of the most beautiful areas in the United States (just ask the Palm Springs Convention & Visitor's Bureau), the weather is perfect (sorry all you "snow-type" people - hope you like negative temperatures because it was 81 degrees here today!), and there's a trailhead (and we always like anything that has to do with "head") right by our trailer! A day hike was definitely the answer to our Tuesday Blues!
We went up what's locally called the "Lykken Trail," named after some guy named "Lykken" - whatever! Anyway, it was a 5 mile trek with an elevation gain (we love gettin' high!) of about 1,200 feet. We could see the whole valley from the mountain top and we even threw some small rocks down to see if we could hit some cars - we did! We tried to stay on the marked trail, but just like in grade school, we're not very good at staying in the lines! Wandering across the mountain off the trail was fine until we came to the Rattlesnake Breeding area - the buzzing was deafening and man did we have to hop around to keep from getting hit. F'ing wildlife! So after that close call, and all the exercise, we need a drink (or ten) to calm our nerves and refresh our bodies. Oh, what a great idea! - we'll head out to a bar somewhere on Palm Canyon Drive (YEAH BABY! PALM CANYON DRIVE!) and then they'll be some REAL wildlife...

I can't see how people who "barrow" the neighbor's Sunday paper can say that Tuesday isn't a great day. Dominoes 2X Tuesday! Man y'all have got to read the small print.

You silly bastards, we did not know you were wildlife enthusiasts. You're lucky a rattler did not come over and bite you in the rear! Stacy ,if you got bit by my rattlesnake I would have helped you! Have fun hiking you silly bastards, we cannot help but love you two.
