WE ARE ABLSOLUTELY OPPOSED TO CONTINENTAL DRIFT AND PLATE TECTONICS!

As they say in the radio ads for drag racing, "SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY!"  Folks, the gates may open a noon, and there may be "55 funny cars," but we'd only consider going for the 50 cent beers and the wet t-shirt contest.  It's not that we don't like fast cars, but we like loose women better!  Life is full of choices and we've made ours.

Speaking of choices, yesterday was Saturday, and the day before was Friday (funny how that works, huh?), so we had some choices to make.   The obvious one was to just roll out of the sofa-sleeper, get dressed and head to a bar somewhere.  Since we rarely consider options once a plan is hatched, we did exactly that and the rest is history.  We hopped in our 1987 Buick LeSabre and headed out of Palm Springs to Palm Desert (we did this by driving on east on Palm Canyon Drive, yeah BABY!), and along the way we passed the Palm Court Trailer Park and the road that leads to 29 Palms.  There's not a lot of imagination in naming things around here.

Anyway, you may wonder why we left town to drink - and it has nothing to do with it being close to the end of the month and our local unpaid bar tabs being pretty much as big as the sub-prime loan on our mobile home.  Nope, we just figured it'd be safer to drink out of town given our rather unpopular political stand in favor of Global Warming.  Look, we live in a desert, why shouldn't everyone else?  Anyway, we actually made it back to the trailer without a moving violation, although there are some new dents in the LeSabre of unknown origin.   Tonight is the Academy Awards, so you can only imagine the party we're hosting for the whole park...

Drag Racing - Now that's what we're talking about!                  Stacy got them to agree that global warming is good!

It shocked them that Kevin wanted to see her Continental Drift!                                 Global Warming?  Al Gore who?

So Kevin - considering your recent trip to The Big Easy, we can only assume that you really meant "drag racing" not "racing in drag". Enough Coors Light from the Palm Canyon Beer Store and anything is possible with you two! Keep smiling and have fun.
