IT MAY BE A NEW YEAR - BUT THAT'S JUST BOOKEEPING!
There was time - when we were younger - that New Year's Eve meant going out, drinking all night and partying with friends. Well, that may have worked when we were younger, so we figued WHY FIX SOMETHING THAT'S NOT BROKEN! Folks, it's New Year's Day and last night (The "EVE"ning) was filled with drunken debauchery that would make Ron Jeremy blush and Adolph Coors pass out! It's good to know the "old ways," the way things worked when Jimmy Carter was carving his initials in the Oval Office desk, still work today!
We started the "EVE"ning on Palm Canyon Drive (OH YOU KNOW IT - PALM CANYON DRIVE, BABY!) at the the Lost Highway Bar. Proprietor & Master Bartender Sean kept the beer flowing while friends gathered and the crowd swelled. It was the beginning of the Perfect Storm. We knew it would be a long night so we paced ourselves. We'd established a limit of no more than four beers per hour each, and we only went over that four times between 8pm and midnight. We think it's good to have limits and we're proud that we only marginally exceeded ours!
Somewhere in all of this chaos we moved the party (picking up more unsuspecting victims along the way) to the world famous Palm Canyon Roadhouse (You guessed it - PALM CANYON DRIVE!). The owners, Greg & Eleanor, welcomed us with cold beer, hot food, live music and a restraining order! Okay, maybe our reputation does preceed us, but a court order? We tossed it aside like yesterday's newspaper and ordered shots of Jagermeister for everyone. Folks, it's 2008 and our number one resolution for the year is to come out of our shells, get out more often and try to let loose and party a little more. Agreed?...
BONUS DAY - SIX PICTURES!

The beer bottles are just for show - none of us drink! Julie handled the negotiations with Greg the owner.

Becky brought her new boyfriend - he'll never be the same! Linda didn't believe there was a restraining order.

Brad, Kevin & Julie just laughed at the court order! Happy 2008 - SHOTS FOR ALL!
