NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID PEOPLE IN GROUPS!

Oh yeah - FRIDAY!  This is the day of the week everyone loves.  It's the end of work, the beginning of the weekend, it's the morning after the night before!  We always start celebrating Friday the night before on Thursday, which is technically Friday Eve, and yesterday was no different!  We roamed the streets of Palm Springs from bar to bar hoping just one would let us open a tab rather than paying cash.

It all started at some overpriced (but very classy - too classy) hotel lounge.   It would have been a quick exit for us, but we spied our friends Brad & Julie downing shots at the bar like a couple of priests at communion!  We figured they were easily good for a few free rounds before they started expecting us to pay, and our plan worked great - even better than we thought - it worked "greatly!"  Next thing we know we're in their car headed to some Mexican restaraunt for a Corona drinking contest (it ended in a tie, but we left when they stopped giving us free chips and salsa after ten or twelve baskets).

We all piled back into their car and headed for a bar on Palm Canyon Drive (THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS - WE'RE TALKIN' "THE" PALM CANYON DRIVE!).  Look, we figure it's always safer to drive after consuming mass quantities of alcohol, because if you walked you might get hit by a drunk a driver. (We may not be on the short list at JPL, but we're not stupid!).  Anyway, as the evening deteriorated into another foggy, mindless blur we all agreed on a plan - ROADTRIP!  That's right, the four of us are taking the "Big Show" on the road today and God only knows where we'll end up...

Like all relationships - we're codependent with our bartender.                     At first the roadtrip plan was just a joke.

Kevin needed convincing and Julie played a hand in it!               Plan agreed too - may God have mercy on our souls!
