THE JOURNEY IS NOT THE REWARD UNLESS YOU'RE PAID BY THE MILE!

IT'S SATURDAY! - the morning after is always ugly, and this morning was no different.  IT WAS U-G-L-Y!  We stayed out too late, we drank too many cervezas and we had to get up waaaay too early.  Yup, it was time for us hombres and hombrettes to find our way to the airport, try to get some free tickets north and head back to the land of Taco Bell and real Mexican food.  Besides, the lady that runs the hotel we're staying at found out that we weren't paying full price for the "massages" Kevin was getting from her daughter, so after all the shouting died down, we agreed to call it square and sponser her for a work visa in the U.S. - now that's a happy ending!

But first let's review last night, Friday night, and how we ended up with heads filled with mush and drool gluing our faces to our pillows.  We started at our favorite local restraunt and cantina, "IXTA," which means "former brothel" in Spanish.  Anyway, we met up with some Canadian folk (Linda & Van) that are living in Mexico on their inflated dollars while evading the Royal Mounted Police over some paternity lawsuits they have from back home.  We won't go into the details, but let's just say they are "people with a past!"  After a few of their stories we started hitting the Corornas so hard that the owner had to call for an additional delivery.

The hours drifted away and pretty soon nobody knew anyone's name - even the owner and staff were...ah....a bit over blowing a 0.8!  Well after midnight we said our goodbye's with hollow promises to stay in touch, write, call, visit, send Arbor Day cards, etc. - but that's all they were, hollow promises we had no intention of keeping.  We staggered off down the beach and all too soon it was morning.  At the airport, since we had no tickets and no money, Stacy made a quick deal with a couple pilots and a male flight attendant to give them a "little peek" if they'd sneek us on a flight home.  It worked, and folks we're back in Palm Springs.   Mexico is ancient history, but tomorrow...

BONUS DAY - SIX PICTURES - CHECK 'EM OUT!

It all started with the famous "double tequila" trick!     Van & Linda - trust us, these are people on the run!

Corona made a special midnight delivery to the bar!                    Yeah, like Kevin needed more cerveza!

Stacy with the Three Amigos - You gotta love 'em!         A quick flash of her .... and we had free tickets!

How to go - you've blown our cover, now we have to pull up stakes again. That damn cerveza makes for loose lips. Anyway, really enjoyed the article and hope to see you folks again down here. We had a blast the other night at Ixta's. Been laying low since then, trying to recover from all that beer. We love it!!! You guys have a Merry Christmas and see you next year at Ixta's.
