IF YOU ARE ALWAYS SMILING, YOU'VE MIS-EVALUATED SOMETHING!

Sunday, football, barbeques, cold beer, bikinis and Speedos by the pool - life just sucks!  NOT!  Look, there has to be a better life, but until we find it (and we tried being Amish but we missed playing Madden Football 07 on our X-Box too much!) we're gonna keep smiling.   We say, "when the going gets tough, the tough get drunk and have sex."  Well, that's what we say anyway, and just like Martin Luther King,  "...we have a dream!"

Speaking of dreams, what if you imagined a place where as far as you could see there were tamales!  Spicy beef tamales, mild chicken tamales, roasted corn & bean tamales - even strawberry tamales - not to mention thousands of hot Latino women in short skirts three sizes too small.  Well, it's no dream, we found just such a nirvana yesterday at the annual Indio Tamale Festival!  Just 15 minutes from our house (on the #23 SunLine bus) and we were wearing sombreros, eating hot tamales, getting drunk on cervezas and speaking....ah....not English!  Is this this a great country or what?  You just don't see this kind of stuff in Red Square (at least not on the Travel Channel).

It was definitely a day to remember!   We wandered the festival grounds (actually closed abandoned streets by the Indio Greyhound station - not kidding!) eating and drinking most of the afternoon.  They even had carnival rides set up and Kevin rode the "Zipper" after lunch - not one of his best ideas.  Let's just say that the people who watched will be haunted by that vision forever.  But after his  minor "stomach reversal" he's now a convert to bulimia because he could eat tamales all over again!  The day ended all too soon, we were still smiling at the memories, but also of great times to come!   Tomorrow is Monday which means Monday Night Foootball at the Indian casino and ...

We searched, but there were no vegi-burgers!                                            Kevin preferred the "family size" tamales!

It wasn't pretty after Kevin rode the "Zipper!"       You know what they say, "once you recycle - you never go back!"

Quite entertaining you two silly bastards!  You never cease to amaze us.  We cannot get enough of your entertainment - quite humorous, we cannot help but love you both.
