IF YOU SEE AN ONION RING - ANSWER IT!

Sunday in Palm Springs - and not just any Sunday - Veterans Parade Day Sunday!  There's nothing like a parade in a small town, and we love parades.  By 2pm we were outta bed and anxious to wander down to Palm Canyon Drive (Oh Yeah Baby - PALM CANYON DRIVE!) to claim a patch of sidewalk and watch the show.  Realize that this is Palm Springs and we are talking about Kevin going to the Veterans Day Parade.

Things went pretty smooth until the Palm Springs High School Band marched by with it's politically correct "Visual Corps."  Not kidding here folks, it is Palm Springs and that is what they call the Flag Girls.  Anyway, when Kevin started yelling things like, "nice leotard" and "I bet you give good flag," the drum major took exception and started chasing him with that big silver baton.  Let's just say it wasn't pretty.   Fortunately, the Palm Springs police (yep, they ride horses - this is the Wild West afterall!) intervened and the parade continued.

A few minutes later another one of Kevin's favorite organizations marched by - the Palm Springs Gay Veterans!  This is a group that Kevin could probably join, but he's not a veteran, even though he's "veteran curious!"  While the military believes in "don't ask don't tell," we believe in showing grainy video clips before someone even asks.  Remember, they're "educational tapes" (wink, wink).  Anyway, tomorrow isn't just Monday and it isn't just a Federal holiday, it's MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL, and we're sure to be free on bail by then...

"Visual Corps?" - Only in Palm Springs!                       Palm Springs Police ride horses because?.....Hmmmm - curious!

Kevin would join, but he's not a veteran!                                                       Every Veteran's Day Parade needs Elvis!

Too bad that we were not in town, we would have loved to watch that parade.  We hope your trip went well, glad your back safe at home in the doublewide sucking on those Coors lights and maybe even a few Stellas.

We can not help but love you both.
