We realize that the price to paid for drinking beer all night with a bunch of bikers is having to wake up the next morning - but it's a small price to pay.  Besides, we define "morning" as anytime after noon!   Awake, alert and ready to seize the day (carpe diem!) we were off to Panda Express around 1pm for breakfast.  There's nothing like a little schezwan chicken and spicy spring rolls to get the day going.  Besides, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not start it with some empty carbs and plenty of saturated fat?  It only makes sense.

Back to last night - WHEW!   Just a gentle reminder that it was "motorcycle weekend" here in Palm Springs, so the town was filled with thousands of bikers (good thing) and thousands of members of the law enforcement community (bad thing).  It turns out that the city of Palm Springs now has an armoured car (not kidding) for "riot control."  Ok, let's get real here - riot control in Palm Springs?  Where, at the Frank Sinatra lounge?  You gotta be kidding!

Anyway, Kevin thought it was a joke and hopped into the idling tank when he saw it parked on a side street.  Let's just say the Palm Springs P.D. didn't find any humor in that at all.  They pounced on him like a pack of feral dogs on a Porterhouse steak.  When all the shouting was over they did release him on his own recognizence, but not before citing him for "public drunkeness."  Our only reply to that is, so we have to be drunk in private now?  The evening ended without any more incidents, but tomorrow is Monday and that means Monday Night Football!  Who knows what will happen...
