HONESTY MAY BE THE BEST POLICY - BUT INSANITY IS A MUCH BETTER DEFENSE!

F-R-I-D-A-Y!  Say it slow and savor the moment you wake up and realize it's the morning after the night before.  The weekend is here and...whew!...just in time.  And what a weekend - it's "motorcycle weekend" here in Palm Springs.  That's the one weekend of the year that the city turns itself over to thousands of riders from all over the Southwest and all Hell breaks loose.  Absolutely tailor made for us!  We worked all week polishing and shining up our bike so we could join in with the throngs of sociopaths - our kind of people.

We staked out a good vantage point on Palm Canyon Drive (You got that right - PALM CANYON DRIVE!), ordered up a few beers (well, okay, maybe more than a few) and started watching all the action (yep - we like to watch!).   Everything seemed to be going GREAT until the manager of the fine establishment we were drinking at last night spotted us and came after us like a greyhound chasing a mechanical rabbit!  It seems that in addition to our unpaid bar tab, there also is some sort of an issue involving property damage.   At this point - and under advice of our New Orleans based, night school educated Public Defender - we're just gonna say it wasn't our fault and the beer cases shouldn't have been stacked that high anyway!

We settled the bar tab, left the property damage issue to be sorted out by legal counsel and wandered out and down the motorcycle clogged street.   We met up with some great guys in gang from East L.A. and man was that fun!   They had brought cases of spray paint with them and taught us all about "tagging!"  We were getting pretty good at it until the Palm Springs P.D. showed up, the gang disappeared and we were left holding a half empty can.  Come on - it turns out that its only a misdemeanor!   We've done much worse, but we always like answering the question, "have you ever been convicted of a felony," by simply saying, "no, NEVER  convicted!"  The weekend is young, we have our bail bondsman on retainer until Sunday night and...

What do the "Mounted" police actually mount?                        Stacy couldn't believe it was only a misdemeanor!

Kevin practicing his "art" just before the cops arrived!                    Oh Yeah - like this is evidence of intoxication!

Aall that I am going to say is that you are a couple of silly bastards and you must refrain from all of this trickery!  Your heavy drinking is starting to take a toll on you both.  We only wish we could be there to help you with this drinking.

    love,

    guy and cary.
