It's Thursday, which means it's FRIDAY EVE!   Days of the week like today absolutely call for celebration.  After all, Friday Eve only comes around....ah....hmmmm......ah.....only once a week!  But chores of course have to be done before partying can begin.  Thursday is chore day to get ready for the extended Palm Springs weekend.  We divide up the tasks and hit them hard right after breakfast - around noon or so.

Stacy starts with the inside of the trailer.  She sweeps the carpet, bags up the empty beer cans and even gets the propane bottle refilled.  Kevin cleans up outside and helps around the trailer park with general tasks.  Today they gave us tokens for free use of the washers & dryers because he helped with some shrub trimming, although later he said he mis-understood the whole idea of "shrub" and "trim.  Anyway, with our work done we showered and headed for Palm Canyon Drive (Oh Yeah - PALM CANYON DRIVE BABY!).

We settled into our second floor outdoor bar lookout by about 5pm and started collecting empty beer glasses fast.   Our good friend Lee showed up and then the evening really took off.  He was apparently on the run from some guy at the 7-11 that thought he stole a Slurpee refill and a copy of "Wheels & Deals."  He admits to "topping off" of his cherry Slurpee, but swears he was only looking at the magazine.  Anyway, we hid him under the bar until things calmed down and then we all settled in for some serious beer intake.  The rest of the night is just a blur, but tomorrow is Friday and...
