WEDNESDAY - HUMPDAY! - WHY DO THEY CALL IT THAT?

It's Wednesday, and for most, it's midway through the week.  Since we don't have jobs it just means another day, but with less crowds at the bars.  Actually, since it's getting close to county "check day" (Friday), we're almost out of money, so they'll be no bars for us tonight.  Instead, we took a wok (wait a minute - lets try that again) - we took a walk to get some exercise.  We wandered after dinner around the summertime vacant streets of downtown Palm Springs and, quiet as they were, we still managed to find some pretty interesting stuff.

First stop was the ATM.  We figured why not give it a try by depositing a blank piece of paper and seeing if we could get cash back from our deposit.  No dice - those clever bankers have figured that scam out.   What is it with bankers?  They never let us have any fun!.  Next we walked up to the main drag - Palm Canyon Drive! - the center of all that happens in the universe (albeit a very small universe!).  There wasn't much going on (come on it's Wednesday, it's 114 degrees and we don't have any money to get in anywhere).

But, we were very excited to see that starting tomorrow they're having the Palm Springs Short Film Festival.  Look, we wanna go on record right here, right now by saying that we just LOVE movies with midgets in them!  How cool that they're having an entire film festival of only "short" films!  Hopefully they'll also show some of the "R" rated midget stuff - VERY COOL!  On our way home we had a funny feeling that we were being watched.  As it turns out - WE WERE!  The city of Palm Springs now has cameras located downtown for "security" purposes. After posing for Big Brother and waving with one finger on each hand we made it back home safely.  Tomorrow is Thursday and we'll be wandering downtown again at the Thursday Night Street Market (it's just like in Hong Kong - we swear!), so you won't want to miss that...

We couldn't get cash back from our deposit!                                                  We just love movies about midgets!

We can't wait until they review the tapes of us!                        Let's just say everyone is welcome at our house.
