FIRST DAY BACK HOME - CAN WE LEAVE NOW?
Last night was the first night in a familar bed in over two months. Now that we have something to compare against, we'd like to get a quality mattress like the ones at EconLodge or Super8'! We never should have just picked up the one we have laying in back of Home Depot and hosed it off. It dried alright, but it still smells funny, the stain never came out and it's sorta lumpy - but you know what? It's OUR bed and we're home. It's hard to believe that we made it all the way without getting arrested, beat up, drowned or left for dead.
Getting back into our "normal" (oxymoron for us) life meant first picking up our mail at the post office. Look, we know we get allot of mail - mostly bills and supeonas, but this was ridiculous. They had to wheel it out in a cart (not kidding)! Cleverly, we wouldn't sign for anything that was "Certified" or "Registered" since nothing good ever comes that way except mail order Viagra from the internet. We loaded down our car and set off home to sort out the mess. Along the way we stopped at the grocery store because there were a couple of checks from the government in the mail and we needed beer - afterall, it was almost noon.
Speaking of beer, we went out tonight to our favorite hangout in Palm Springs. We love the band, and we love the bartenders, but apparently they don't love us as much. As a matter of fact, instead of the warm reception we expected, they told us that we had to pay our bar tab from a few months ago or they wouldn't even let us in. Come on - like that would be a problem for us! We just gave them some of the USDA Food Stamps that came in the mail and they were happy. We spent the night telling them lies about the trip and assuring them that they could use the food stamps for cigarettes and People Magazines at the store. All things considered - it wasn't a bad day, but word is beginning to spread that we're back in town, so it's probably not long until the bill collectors and process servers start showing up again. Tomorrow we'll see what happens, and so will you when you log on and check riding4beer.com.

It was mostly junk mail, but there were some food stamps & checks! We love grocery shopping!

Without the food stamps there was no beer! Monica & Julie relaxed after the food stamps started flowing!

You silly bastards, you made it home safe. God bless ya,see ya soon,.
Love,
guy and cary
