"...INDIANA WANTS ME (US)..."
Ok, so we got up at, uh....uh....uh....sometime before noon and headed to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. We are in Cleveland and that is basically what you do here if you don't work for some steel company. The Hall of Fame was AWESOME - but there were a few issues. Let's just say we were VERY disappointed that since this is the center of Rock & Roll, there were no exhibits of memorobilia from the Cowsills, the Monkees,or the Partridge Family. How can it tell the true story of rock & roll without their MASSIVE contributions.
After the disappointing $20/person visit we hit the road west. HOLY TOLEDO, we went right through Toledo , OH and didn't even stop. Our goal was Indiana and WE MADE IT! The rain hit us right outside of Cleveland, so on went the $200 dollar worthless rainsuits. Five miles later the "mist" went away and we rode the next hundred miles in 90 degree heat, under cloudless skies wearing rubber rainsuits. Let's just say, it wasn't pretty when we took them off. But, true to form, as soon as we took them off, the rain came back and we were soaked! The people on the TV news look dumb, but weather forcasting is much more difficult that changing the oil on a '57 Buick.
The day ended in Elkhart, Indiana - because we refused to stay in South Bend and put up with Notre Dame fans! At the Super 8 it was VERY exciting when the fire alarm went off due to Kevin using a Bic lighter to "seal" an elecrical splice on the bike (yes, we had the bike in the room!). The Fire Department "officially" didn't"appreciate the false alarm, but the firemen LOVED Stacy and her "explanation." Dinner (and beers) were at a local roadhouse where we met lots of fun and interesting people - but lets face it - THEY LIVE IN ELKHART! At the end of it all, we retired to the Super 8 with dreams of where we'll ride to tomorrow...

This is the Heart of Rock & Roll! The Fire alarm worked - but Stacy still didn't get a Fireman!

It's not Kevin's fault he knows about his wife's Tattoo! If they lived in California, they'd be ...(and so would we!)
