NAVEL ACADEMY? - PUB THIS!

Today?  Oh yeah - Today.   So here's how the day went as best as we can remember - and as best as we can reconstruct it fro police reports.  We were up and out of the house by about 10am - driving  Kasey's car (Ray's daughter) with Ray as our guide.  He showed us the usual sights, told us where to eat and drink, recommended local tours and then suddenly wanted to be dropped off at home to start drinking.  We're not sure what caused his rapid change of attitude, but the three illegal left turns and two near misses at red lights probably had something to do with it.   Look, we just think of the DMV Code as a guideline - clearly people in Maryland take it more seriously.

With Ray hitting the Johnny Walker at home, we set out again in Kasey's car.  BIG MISTAKE for everyone involved.  Our first stop was the United States Navel Academy, and that was cool (if you like uniforms, ships and old stuff), but then we wandered into downtown Annapolis for lunch and it was all downhill from there.  We ate in a place called Federal House, which claims it was built in 1850, but if that's true, how come it has electric lights and air conditioning?  We suspect a little stretching of the truth here, but then again we never did well in Asian History.  After lunch (and a few beers) we decided it was time to start serious drinking.

Let's just say that 2pm is absolutely the right time to begin "Pub Crawling."   At the first stop everything was going well, but that brief good run was soon coming to a rapid end.  It finally all came unglued when Kevin asked the bartender if his wife used to work at the Highway Motel 6 - by the hour!  The guy was big and boy does he have a temper!  We exited quickly but soon found ourselves in another pub - but that didn't last too long either.  When we both began pitching the bartender on a new multi-level marketing program he asked us to leave.  When we stood and began reciting the Declaration of Independence (as best as we can remember) it was all over.  They physically tossed us and the rest is history.  We threw away the parking tickets on Kasey's car window, cruised back to Ray & Debra's, raided their pantry and hit the bed.  Tomorrow we've been asked to leave, but we may plead weather issues and stay another day - we'll see!

We seriously salute the men & women in our military.                We're sure it was his wife at the Motel 6 last year.

Don't know these people - but we lifted their VISA card!    They could've made a fortune - instead they tossed us!

    Kevin & Stacy,

It has been awhile and I apologize for not keeping up with your adventure...but I am here as a willing participant tonight! The Naval Academy is an amazing institution. Good thing you didn't screw with them or you might of found yourself in the brig, as I'm sure they wouldn't appreciate you sense of humor. Their security is so tight, that when I went running I had to show my CDL in order to run on their premises...part of the terrorism 911 protection .

    Parlor on,
    Randall & Helen

So, my question is, at the Navel Academy, do they discriminate against outies? Also, I've been subpeonaed to appear at some hearing as a "character witness" and I just wondered why the two of you thought I'd lie for you....oh, wait. I'm the only one you haven't stayed with yet...
