WE MAY HAVE A SCORCHED EARTH POLICY - BUT AT LEAST IT'S A POLICY!

We're still in New Orleans nervously watching the Doppler Radar.  We'd originally planned on leaving this morning, but an enourmous weather system is approaching from the northwest and we thought it best to wait and see.  Of course the extra day also gives us plenty of opportunities to wander the French Quarter pursuing our scorched earth policy!  Likewise, it gave Kevin the opportunity to pick up a $5.99 box of Clariol at Walgreens and touch up his roots.  It's all good, right?

Friday night on Bourbon Street.  Hmmmmm, what should we do?  We called our friends Mike & Sandra and tricked them into driving over so we'd have access to their car, but more importantly, access to their VISA card.   Let's face it - beer before dinner, beer with dinner, after dinner beer and strip club door charges and lap dances all add up - and we need working capital!  We started the "rounds" with a lunch stop at Sean Kelly's Irish Pub (where our favorite bartender, Claudine serves 'em cold and fast - just like she prefers her men).  In the back is the kitchen, 'Bumpin Taco," where for just $7 bucks of Mike & Sandra's money we got tamales, tacos and other assorted, fried goodies.  A Mexican restaurant in an Irish Pub in the French Quarter in the Southern United States?  Go figure - it's New Orleans Baby!

Next stop was Razoo's where the 3-for-1 drink beer specials saved Mike & Sandra a fortune, but by about six o'clock the management there had just about enough of us and suggested we take the party elsewhere.  We couldn't risk another legal fiasco in Louisiana so we quietly shuffled out and into the crowds on Bourbon Street.  After a quick (three hour) stop at the Hustler Honey Club (hey, it's interpretive dance, OK?) we ended up at Tropical Isle where our friend Billy Gregory plays the guitar with Big Willy's All Purpose Blues Band, and while they don't comp us beers there, at least let us come back.   When finally the card swipe machine rejected Mike & Sandra's VISA as over the limit we called it a night and crawled back home.  Tomorrow, assuming the Doppler Radar cooperates, we'll be on the road heading to...

                                   IT'S NEW ORLEANS - ALWAYS A BONUS - 6 PICTURES AGAIN!

Claudine, the best bartender ever - there are stories, but.......                  Kevin getting tossed from Razoos!

Stacy earning gas money selling hot dogs!                                     Kevin appreciating the art of interpretive dance.

Kevin chatting up Mike & Sandra for more drinks.                     Stacy closing the deal and getting Mike's VISA card!

So, is it just me, or do these pictures of Stacy get racier and racier? Is this one of those trips that ends in Vegas when you bet her virtue on a high card and lose her to a DeNiro look-a-like in a $4000 suit? I know you have alot of experience in running from the law, but you can't outrun the mob...
