IF IT WAS GOOD ENOUGH FOR LINCOLN & GRANT - IT'S GOOD ENOUGH FOR US!

We awoke in Clarksdale, Mississippi under cloudy skies after pouring rain all night.  We headed over to the Delta Blues Museum to spend the morning in awe of people much more talented then we will ever be.  What an INCREDIBLE place - if you are ever near it, like on a business trip in Seattle or Boston, rent a car and drive right over.  All kidding aside, it's really cool!  Everything was going so well until Kevin was caught carving his initials in the back of B.B King's guitar and we were politely asked to leave by the manager, "May."   FYI: They didn't even give us a partial refund on our admission price.

Banned from the museum we headed back to the Econolodge and checked our Doppler Radar.  Massive thunder storms were approaching from the west,  so we quickly packed, stole a few towels to wipe down the bike and then blasted south to get below the approaching weather holocaust.  We followed the famous "Great River Road" along the banks of the Mississippi past farms, through nameless towns and past countless whorehouses and bars that we could've easily spent the afternon at.  Our goal?  Vicksburg, Mississippi!  We figured if Ulysess S. Grant would spend 45 days fighting just to be able to eat and sleep there, then we wanted to as well (eat and sleep there that is - not fight!).

We spent the late afternoon in the old Vicksburg courthouse (which is now a museum) reading about "President" Jefferson Davis, the North's "unspeakable act of agression against the South" and how slaves really supported the Confederacy in the Civil War, not the Union.  Look folks, we're from California, so we're technically "Yankees," but this whole Civil War thing just doesn't make any sense to us now.  We watched a special about it on the History Channel a few months ago, but we were too busy changing the Harley's oil in the kitchen to really pay attention.  After the museum staff painfully explained (for the third time) the social issues surrounding the Civil War (which we didn't understand because they were using 20 lb college words) we decided to leave and find the nearest EconLodge and some cold beers.  We figured tomorrow is another day and we'll be on the road again riding all the way to...

Kevin-you realize that with your initials on the back of that guitar people will think the KC stands for KC and the Sunshine Band. Did we really need to immortalize him? Lets try and use the few brain cells left when we deface property. Stacy your a fellow redhead, do something with him (like maybe get him a box of crayons and some coloring books).  Make him stop!

These two are insane. When they get to Wisconsin we are going to have them both sent in for a 30 day head observation.  They obviously are not playing with a full deck or like Ialways say, they are a couple of clicks to the left, but we love them all the same, screws loose or not . Have a safe trip .
