REAL HONEST TO GOD TEXAS HOSPITALITY!

Goodby Abilene - Hello road!   268 miles of which 260 were some of the most beautiful, fantastic roads ever riden on a motorcycle.   Racing south through central Texas the cloudy skies held, until..... the last 8 miles.  Let's just say it rained so hard that we passed Noah and Evan Almighty on the highway.   The rain was blinding, but at least the traffic was terrible too.  So where we we headed? - SAN ANTONIO BABY!

This is the first time on the trip that we're not staying in a motel.  Instead, we took a vow of poverty and our good friends Ramon and Gloria took pity on us.  We actually know them because their daughter - the always AWESOME Ceci - was our favorite Hooters server in Pasadena, so after kicking their son Vincent out of his bedroom we now have our own space - complete with San Antonio Spurs posters,  soccer shoes and - not kidding - A HOOTERS CALENDER!   Now this is Texas hospitality.

We spent the afternoon touring the sites of San Antonio.  Kevin was dissapointed to learn that they didn't serve pie alamo at the Alamo, so, to keep him from crying, (again) we promised he'd get ice cream when we got to the Riverwalk.  That was the begining of the end.   At 5pm we installed ourselves at "DICK'S" and began ordering beers.   At 2am when the San Antonio police were called to (as they put it), "...escort us off the premises" we were forced to call it a night.   The good news is that its raining again today, and since we can't swim, we get to stay another night and do it all over again!

Everything is bigger in Texas!                              Kevin learning to play Texas Hold 'em with Ceci & Gloria

We can't understand why we were kicked out!                        Our server, "Nick" just before he called the cops.

You guys ROCK. Words cannot express how jealous we are of you too. I washed the sheets in the spare room... that alone should tell you how excited we are to have you guys stay with us.
I talked with the town drunks and told them "family" was coming to town. After we wash the bugs off your scooter, we can head over to the shindig!
Ride safe... remember, the shiney side faces up.... the rubber side faces down
Did the alamo smell like Ozzy Piss?
