(Palm Springs – AP, Reuters, USA Today) Slipping out of town under cover of darkness just ahead of the law enforcement community and bill collectors at five o’clock a.m. this morning, (Thursday, June 28), Kevin & Stacy have begun their now infamous riding4beer.com tour on their Harley. Heading Northeast from Palm Springs, California on their two to three month journey around America, they expect the first stop and web posting to be late tonight from somewhere in Northeastern Arizona after 400 long miles. As you know, you can follow the entire trip and enjoy their experiences through the daily postings right here on this website. It’s hoped that you’ll share in the journey by posting your own comments and observations as they wander to the four corners of our country. The next posting will be from the road!

JUST MINUTES AHEAD OF THE BILL COLLECTORS - 5am - PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA
Be safe, have fun, drink mucho... Just remember that not everything is legal in every state. And if you run into trouble, ditch the wallets, start speaking french, and pretend you don't know what the hell any one is saying!
I LOVE YOU GUYS...BE SAFE!

I'm not a expert in avoiding the law but wouldn't it be smarter to blur out your faces so the long arm of the law won't recognize you when you stop for beer with them. Seriously good luck and the beer will be on ice if you find your way here. We will leave a light on (its only a 15 watt one so you have to be close to see it) for you and a key under the mat( not our front door - the neighbors front door - as they have more beer than we do). Ride safe.

Its about time you guys got started. We were getting worried that you might not make it across the top end before the snow falls. If you get cold running across the top end I know where you can get some real warm winter wollies. Have a great safe trip.

Kevin and Stacy,
Congratulations on the start of your great adventure. Most of the people reading these blogs would love to see one quarter of the things in their lifetime that you will see in one "hot" summer.
Stacy and I would like you to consider stopping in the Pittsburgh Pa. area on your way through. We promise lots of beer, a hot shower, and a warm bed. If we plan it right, you can get here on a Tuesday or Wednesday that way on Wednesday night we can go out for beer and wings at our local hang out.
Good luck, and email us if you have any questions.
Bill and Stacy
